Glam, ready-to-wear makeup works for everyone, from busy moms to students, entrepreneurs, and MUAs.
So, what's the big secret? Multitasking makeup products! Well, technically, it's not a total secret, but trust me, once you start doing your makeup in no time, you'll never look back!
Here are some quick tips for creating the perfect ready-to-wear look for when you want to go glam. In my last post, I wrote some tips for everyday ready-to-wear makeup.
5 to 15-minute party or event glam look
Five to seven products are all you need to create the perfect glam look! I like only pulling out a multitasker once, so I put this in the order I use. Doing your base first is not always ideal, but I work with creams, so I don't get powder on my face after doing my eyes. I recommend doing these in the order you prefer.
If you're not a fan of foundations or contouring, your glam look should take five minutes. I fall between 7-15 minutes, depending on how many layers I use.
Step 1
Start with a 2-in-1 brow and eyeliner cream. Use it to line your eyes and then feather up your brows for a natural look. Or you can use an eyeliner pencil and make your mascara a multitasker by using it on your brows as well. See step six for mascara deets.

Step 2 (optional)
Next is the foundation base. Try a multitasker that also works as a concealer, like our 2-in-1 Beauty Stix. Or, if you prefer something lighter, a mineral foundation powder or bronzer work!

Step 3 (optional)
Next is the contour. A cream contour kit works, or you can use a Beauty Stix to semi-contour. I usually semi-contour using a Beauty Stix 4 shades darker than my skin to bring out my cheeks and jawline. I rarely do a full contour.

Step 4
Next is the colour (color) pop. Put a natural swipe of colour (color) on your lips, cheeks and eyes. Try a multitasker that works on multiple areas, like our 3-in-1 Beauty Stix. Or, if you prefer something lighter, something like our Double Duty Cream is more translucent.

Step 5
Next, I use a shimmer on my eyes to make them pop. I use our liquid diamond shimmer, which I add to my lips for some events. I use either the Gold Chain or Escort shades. I swipe it on one eye and fan it to dry before doing the other eye.

Step 6
Next is your mascara, which you can also swipe on your brows for a polished look, as mentioned above. For a glam look, I layer coats on my lashes. I do one coat on both eyes (left and then right for me) and quickly follow up with the second and third coats before each has a chance to fully dry.
🦋To layer, your lashes mustn't be too wet or fully dry to help lessen the chance of clumping. It's why I work on both eyes at the same time.
- Coat one - left eye and then right eye
- Coat two - left eye and then right eye
- Coat three – left eye and then right eye
🦋This step should take one to two minutes.
🦋I look tired (I'm not saying it's age!) without mascara on my bottom lashes and top, so I need both. But I only put one coat on my bottom lashes.
