Easy tips to create your signature Goth Glam makeup style inspired by Wednesday 2

If you’re anything like me, goth glam is on your makeup style It List. There are some twists to the OG 90s look I used to rock, but its comeback has made me smile!

Here are some tips to create your signature goth glam makeup style, inspired by Wednesday, Season 2.

Eyes

Winged eyeliner application tip: apply your eyeliner (gel or pencil) to your tightline, waterline and lids. Create a small blank space at the corners to open up your eyes, and then blend and apply more until you achieve your desired look.

Quick and easy eye makeup (my fave)

  1. Use an eyeliner and mascara in black, dark purple or brown.
  2. Use an eyeshadow or Beauty Stix in a deep shade all over your eyelids.
  3. If you want to make your eyes look glossy instead of matte, apply a clear lip gloss on top or a sparkly lip gloss at the edges for an extra pop.

Complex eye makeup

  1. Try using several shades on your eyes for a multi-dimensional, subtle smoky eye.
  2. Use black eyeshadow and eyeliner.
  3. Mix a grey (gray) or silver shade with a reddish-brown all over your lid.
  4. Brush a matte black on the top and bottom of your lash line.

Lips

Application tip: To soften the lines, use your finger or a small lip brush to blend and mix your shades for a smooth finish.

If you want to go dark:

  1. Use a lipliner that’s 1-2 shades darker than your lipstick. Try a dark lip liner in purple, brown, red, or black.
  2. Pair it with a lipstick that’s a shade or two lighter.
  3. Or use the lipliner all over your lips and dab a clear lip balm on top to soften the look a bit (this is the method used on Jenna Ortega in Wednesday 2, according to the show’s makeup artist’s People magazine interview).

If you want a contrast:

  1. Use a dark lip liner in a deep shade of purple, brown, red, or black.
  2. Use a light, neutral shade of lipstick, or opt for a clear lip gloss or lip balm to apply all over your lips.

Cheeks

Keep your cheeks slightly neutral so your eyes and lips stand out.

  1. For a monochromatic look, use a shade similar to your eyes and add some highlighter.
  2. Or you can use a neutral brownish shade for a more matte look.
