I thought about titling this post "Move over babies, it's my skin's turn to shine." But that might have been too much! So, instead, it is "My 6 secret tips for baby soft skin!"
I've been on a quest to get my skin as soft as possible, and in the process, take over the number one spot for soft skin from babies. Is it wrong to compete with babies that don't even know they're in a competition? I don't think so. Hahaha!
I use natural products. Other products may have harsh ingredients that can damage your skin, and I think my skin looks pretty decent now. So, here are some tips that work for me, and I hope you can find one or two that work for you too!
Six tips for baby soft skin
Note: First, try the recipes on a small skin patch to see if you have any sensitivities or an allergic reaction to them.
Find out if you are eating, wearing or using anything affecting your skin. Treat that first.
Some things to look for:
- Acne
- Dark circles under your eyes (one of the causes for this is a sinus problem)
- A yellowish hue to your skin (kidney and liver issues are some organs that can cause this).
- Wrinkles can be caused by using products that are too harsh for your skin.
Add lemon to your water (and don't forget to drink enough water daily)
It helps detox your body, clears skin, aids with weight loss, balances your body's ph, boosts the immune system, is a blood purifier, and helps with throat infections.
Drink green tea
Technically, it's not food, but a cup of green tea can keep wrinkles at bay. Studies have shown that green tea is 200 times more potent than Vitamin E for healing damaged skin. The antioxidants in green tea can help protect your skin from harmful UV rays and reduce the signs of aging.
Olive oil, lemon and salt scrub
It makes a fabulous body scrub to leave your skin moisturized and soft. Mix the juice from one lemon with five tablespoons of sea salt and one tablespoon of olive oil.
Coconut oil bath
Add a few tablespoons of organic coconut oil to a warm bath to soften your skin. The warm water will help open your pores, allowing the coconut oil to penetrate deeper, leaving your skin soft and moisturized.
Turmeric and coconut oil to lighten scars.
Mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder with enough coconut oil to make a paste. Apply it to the affected areas daily. Turmeric's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, combined with the moisturizing effects of coconut oil, can help lighten scars and even out skin tone, leaving skin softer and smoother.
Or, if it's in your budget, our turmeric soap and/or mask do the same thing.

Keep in mind, everyone's skin is different. What works for me might not work for you. But these recipes are easy and relatively inexpensive, so it's worth experimenting to see if they help. It may take some time to notice a difference, but if you create a routine and stick with it, you should see some positive changes. You're in control of your skincare journey!
